Interjet launches new routes to US - Las Vegas, Los Angeles & Chicago

Mexican airline Interjet announced today that it will begin non-stop service between Mexico City and Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Chicago.Mexico-Los Angeles flight will start October 20th, Mexico-Las Vegas will start November 10th, while the flight from Mexico to Chicago will begin on November 17th. This represents an offering of 5,250 weekly seats to these destinations.

These new flights are in addition to the 14 routes the airline currently operates between Mexico and the U.S.: Dallas- Fort Worth, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Antonio and Orlando-Sanford. Interjet currently flies to Los Angeles from Guadalajara.

Mexico-Los Angeles and Mexico-Chicago will have two daily flights, and Mexico-Las Vegas will operate one daily flight.

“We are very pleased to inaugurate these flights within the framework of the Bilateral Air Transport Agreement with the U.S. which, as we have said, benefits the sector by offering new opportunities, encouraging business and tourism traffic between the two countries and above all increasing supply and fostering competitiveness to the benefit of travelers”, said Interjet CEO, Jose Luis Garza.

The flights will be operated with 150-seat capacity Airbus A-320s equipped with the latest technology and more legroom because they are configured with a 34 inch (86 cms) pitch between rows.

Interjet new route Cancun–New York in daily basis after 01OCT16

Mexican low-cost carrier Interjet has updated its schedule for its newly-launched Cancun – New York JFK route, which the daily flight will operate on permanent basis, on/after 01OCT16. This route was launched last week (01SEP16), initially listed up to 30SEP16.

Interjet starts flights to Cancun–New York JFK during September

Mexican low-cost carrier Interjet during the month of September 2016 plans to operate Cancun – New York JFK service, using Airbus A320 aircraft. Planned operational schedule for this daily service as follow.

Interjet to Start New York JFK-Cancun in September

MIAMI — Mexican low-cost carrier Interjet has announced a daily Cancun – New York flight, to start on September 1.

“We know Cancun is one of Mexico’s most important destinations and an international tourism attraction thus its connectivity is key to continue to encourage its growth and development. The new route will offer travelers the possibility of departing from New York, one of the world’s trade and finance capitals, as well as an air connection center, so they can enjoy the beaches, weather and entertainment of the Mexican Caribbean. With this we will contribute to the consolidation of the trade and tourism relationship between these two important destinations” said Jose Luis Garza, Interjet CEO.

The daily flights will have the following schedules (all local times):

• Cancun-New York: Departing at 18:15, arriving at 23:00.
• New York- Cancun: Departing at 07:00, arriving at 10:05.

Interjet will now serve nine destinations in the United States. To date, the carrier offers flights to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Miami and Orlando (Sanford). The 1,555 mile (2,500 km.) route is now served by American Airlines, JetBlue, Dynamic Airways, Volaris and Aeromexico to New York JFK, while United offers a non-stop Cancun – Newark service.
