Polish flag carrier LOT Polish Airlines is trialing a 2X-weekly nonstop service from Warsaw Chopin International to Ngurah Rai International in Bali, Indonesia.
The service will use Boeing 787-8 aircraft with a three-class 252 seating layout, and will be run as a charter operation in conjunction with a Polish tour operator.
The airline said it would use the trial to determine if there is further opportunity for business on the Eastern Europe-Bali tourism route.
“LOT will analyze the performance of flights between Warsaw and Bali as well as potential passengers and cargo traffic to other major destinations in Indonesia,” the company said in a statement to local media.
The carrier also noted the route could be the precursor of what it called “regular network development” for both tourism and business travel. LOT said Indonesia was becoming one of the most important destinations in Asia both tourism and business-wise for its ongoing business plans.
