Jetblue A320 flight B6404 at Oakland, engine #2 problem



A Jetblue Airbus A320-200, registration N517JB performing flight B6-404 from Oakland,CA to Long Beach,CA (USA) with 130 people on board, departed Oakland's runway 30 and was climbing through 2000 feet when the crew declared emergency due to their #2 engine (V2527), subsequently reporting the engine was "banging", they suspected a bird strike. The aircraft stopped the climb at 3000 feet and returned to Oakland for a safe landing on runway 30 about 10 minutes after departure.

The flight was cancelled.
