A Cathay Dragon Airbus A330-300 on behalf of Dragonair, registration B-HYJ performing flight KA-834 from Hong Kong to Shanghai (China) with 277 people on board, was enroute at 10700 meters about 75nm southwest of Xiamen (China) when the crew detected an engine (Trent 772) oil leak and decided to divert to Xiamen, where the aircraft landed safely about 35 minutes later.
The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground about 60 hours after landing.
The airline reported the aircraft diverted due to an engine oil leak. The passengers were rebooked onto other flights the same day.
