European tour operator TUI Group has placed a firm order with Boeing (BOE, Chicago O'Hare) for ten B737 MAX 8 and one B787-9. Announced during the 2016 Farnborough International Airshow, the order also includes an option for one additional B787-9.
With this order, TUI Group now has unfilled orders for three B787-9s and seventy B737 MAX aircraft.
TUI Group's five airline units - TUIfly (Germany) (X3, Hanover), Thomson Airways (BY, London Luton), TUIfly Nordic (6B, Stockholm Arlanda), TUI Airlines Belgium (TB, Brussels National) and TUIfly (Netherlands) (OR, Amsterdam) - operate more than 100 B737NextGens and fourteen B787-8/9s on flights to more than 180 destinations around the world. Corsair International (SS, Paris Orly) operates a different fleet consisting of A330-200s, A330-300s and B747-400s.
