Korean B738 flight KE718 at Jeju, both nose tyres deflated on landing



A Korean Air Boeing 737-900, registration HL7727 performing flight KE-718 from Tokyo Narita (Japan) to Jeju (South Korea) with 148 people on board, landed on Jeju's runway 07 and was slowing down when both nose tyres deflated during roll out. The aircraft came to a stop about 1900 meters/6200 feet down the runway and was disabled on the runway. The passengers disembarked onto the runway, the aircraft was subsequently towed to the apron.

The runway was closed for about 80 minutes until passengers had disembarked, the aircraft had been towed off the runway, the runway had been inspected and prepared for service.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 6 hours, then positioned as flight KE-1724 from Jeju to Seoul's Gimpo Airport where the aircraft is still on the ground about 18 hours after the occurrence in Jeju.
