An Easyjet Airbus A320-200, registration G-EZTI performing flight U2-7193 from Liverpool,EN (UK) to Faro (Portugal), was in the initial climb out of Liverpool's runway 09 when the crew stopped the climb at 3000 feet due to a hydraulic failure as result of loss of hydraulic fluid that prevented gear retraction. The aircraft entered a hold while the crew worked the related checklists and subsequently diverted to Manchester,EN (UK) for a safe landing on runway 05R at a normal speed about 40 minutes after departure.

A replacement A320-200 registration G-EZOD is estimated to reach Faro with a delay of 4 hours.
