Delta B763 at Detroit on Jun 9th 2016, redundant power system problem

A Delta Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration N130DL performing flight DL-745 from Detroit,MI to San Francisco,CA (USA) with 244 passengers on board, was climbing through 12000 feet out of Detroit when the crew decided to return to Detroit for a safe landing on runway 22L advising ATC they would vacate the runway at the last exit and needed emergency services to check the brakes. After the aircraft had rolled out the crew reported they had hardly used the brakes, no checks by emergency services was needed, and the aircraft taxied to the apron.

The airline reported one of the aircraft's redundant power systems had an issue.

A replacement Airbus A330-300 registration N804NW is estimated to reach San Francisco with a delay of 6 hours.
