Delta B752 near Phoenix on Jun 24th 2016, problems with landing gear



A Delta Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration N718TW performing flight DL-2362 from Los Angeles,CA to New York JFK,NY (USA) with 158 passengers and 6 crew, was enroute at FL350 about 170nm north of Phoenix,AZ (USA) when the crew decided to divert to Phoenix,AZ. The aircraft entered a hold at 8000 feet for about 30 minutes, then positioned for an approach to Phoenix's runway 26. While on final approach tower advised that the landing gear appeared to be down. The aircraft landed safely on runway 26 (gear doors were closed), vacated the runway and stopped on the adjacent taxiway for an inspection by emergency services before taxiing to the apron.

The airport reported the aircraft diverted due to a landing gear problem.

The airline reported the crew received a fault indication requiring attention.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 14 hours, then continued to New York as flight DL-9900.
