IBERIA Resumes Tokyo Service from late-Oct 2016 | Airline Route

   

IBERIA today (18JAN16) announced its return to East Asia market where it’ll resume service to Japan, starting 18OCT16. Subject to Government Approval, IBERIA A330-200 aircraft will be operating Madrid – Tokyo Narita route 3 times a week. Reservation is now open.
The following schedule is effective from 30OCT16.

IBERIA first launched service to Japan 1986, with 1 weekly each Madrid – Barcelona – Mumbai – Tokyo Narita and Madrid – Mumbai – Tokyo Narita with 747COMBI. Mumbai stop was replaced by Anchorage (Polar Route) from October 1987. By 1990, some flights sees operational stop switches from Anchorage to Moscow Sheremetyevo, and all services to Tokyo operates via Moscow by March 1992. Last IBERIA service for Tokyo was in December 1998.
