British Airways Boeing 787-9 North America Operation Changes as of 18JAN16 | Airline Route

        

British Airways in latest schedule update has revised planned Boeing 787-9 operation to North America, mostly affecting operations to Austin, Houston and Newark. Both Houston and Newark will see 787-9 operation starting at the launch of summer 2016 season, week of 27MAR16, instead of August 2016. Calgary and Philadelphia will also see Boeing 787-9 operation, previously not announced by the airline, for a limited-time.
London Heathrow – Austin 27MAR16 – 30JUL16 4-class 777-200ER replaces 787-9, daily service
London Heathrow – Calgary Boeing 787-9 to operate up to 7 weekly from 07MAY16 to 03JUN16, and from 27JUL16 to 15AUG16, replacing -8
London Heathrow – Houston eff 27MAR16 Boeing 787-9 operation moves to this date, instead of 01AUG16. The 787-9 operates BA197/196 on daily basis from 27MAR16 to 03AUG16, 4 weekly (Day x457) from 06AUG16
London Heathrow – Newark eff 02APR16 Boeing 787-9 operation moves forward to this date, instead of 01AUG16. Boeing 787-8 is also scheduled to operate on selected flights
BA185/184 Average 1 weekly in April 2016, selected service on 16MAY16 / 18JUL16
BA189/188 Average 2 weekly in April 2016, 5 weekly from 30APR16 to 06MAY16 (Day x47), Average 2-4 weekly from 09MAY16 to 30JUL16, 1 daily from 01AUG16
The 787-9 is also scheduled to operate selected flights on London Heathrow – Philadelphia route from 09APR16 to 25JUL16, replacing 777-200ER/787-8. Planned service launch on London Heathrow – San Jose CA, from 04MAY16 with Boeing 787-9, remains unchanged.
Planned 787-9 operation remains subject to change.
