Flydubai is currently looking for B737NG First Officers to be based in Dubai, through their assessments center in Southampton, United Kingdom

Minimum requirements:

• Hold an ICAO ATPL certificate with a valid type rating
• Hold a 1st Class Medical certificate from ICAO
• Hold English to ICAO level 4 or above
• Eligible for a UAE residency visa
• Demonstrate excellent problem solving, CRM and team working skills
• Demonstrate command potential 
• Must have good knowledge of ATPL subjects 
• Ability to perform to a high standard when under stress
• Must have flown desired aircraft within the last 24 months 
• University degree is preferable
• High school diploma is essential
• International aviation experience is preferable 
• B737-300 to 900 (NG/EFIS) endorsed within the last 24 months
• At least 1500 hours total flying time
• At least 500 hours on B737-300 to 900 (NG/EFIS) type aircraft

Flydubai B738 at Dammam, flaps up landing

A Flydubai Boeing 737-800, registration A6-FDP performing flight FZ-867 from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to Dammam (Saudi Arabia), was on approach to Dammam when the crew stopped the descent at 6000 feet because the flaps would not extend. The crew worked the related checklists without resolving the issue, burned off fuel and landed safely on runway 34R at a higher than normal speed (about 190 knots over ground) about one hour after stopping the descent at 6000 feet.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Dammam about 4 hours after landing, the return flight FZ-868 is currently being delayed.

Flydubai B738 at Addis Ababa and Dubai on Jul 10th 2016, foreign object damage on both engines

A Flydubai Boeing 737-800, registration A6-FGB performing flight FZ-648 from Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) to Dubai (United Arab Emirates), departed Addis Ababa's runway 07R and completed, what appeared to be an uneventful flight, with a safe landing on Dubai's runway 30L.

A post flight inspection revealed damaged to the fan blades of both engines (CFM56) caused by foreign object ingestion.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 41 hours before resuming service.

Flydubai B738 at Dubai on Jul 2nd 2016, rejected takeoff due to configuration warning

A Flydubai Boeing 737-800, registration A6-FGA performing flight FZ-147 from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to Amman (Jordan), was accelerating for takeoff from Dubai's runway 30R when the crew rejected takeoff at low speed (around 60 knots over ground) due to a takeoff configuration warning. The aircraft returned to the apron.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration A6-FDF reached Amman with a delay of 4 hours.

The occurrence aircraft, that made its maiden flight in April 2016, is still on the ground about 11 hours after the rejected takeoff while maintenance is replacing sensors.

Flydubai announces increased flights to Bucharest

Flydubai has announced the addition of two new flights a week between Dubai and Bucharest and will now fly daily to the Romanian capital.

Dubai-based flydubai has announced that it will begin daily operations to Prague from July 1st, up from four weekly flights, reports Phil Blizzard.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, chief executive of flydubai, told Breaking Travel News: “We are delighted to offer more flights to Prague which remains a popular destination for our passengers in the GCC.

“We also look forward to providing those in Europe with more choice and more opportunities to visit Dubai and beyond on our network.

“Our strategic base in Dubai allows passengers to benefit from flydubai’s interline agreements with other carriers, providing opportunities for onward travel to more than 200 destinations.”

flydubai has been operating flights to Prague since 2014.

Alongside Belgrade, Bratislava, Bucharest, Skopje, Sarajevo, Sofia and Zagreb, it is part of the airline’s network in central and eastern Europe.

Renowned for its cathedrals, courtyards and culture, Prague is one of Central Europe’s most popular destinations.

Travellers can enjoy the Baroque architecture in the Old Town, take in the stunning views from Charles Bridge, discover the largest ancient castle complex in the world at Prague Castle and watch time go by at the Prague Astronomical Clock.

Αποκαλυπτικές δηλώσεις κάνει πρώην πιλότος της Fly Dubai | Airnews

Ρωσικό δημοσίευμα έχεi δηλώσεις ενός πρώην πιλότου της Fly Dubai, ο οποίος κάνει σημαντικές αποκαλύψεις.   

«Οι πιλότοι της FlyDubai δουλεύουν εξοντωτικές ώρες. Αναγκαστικά, από τις πολλές ώρες εργασίας εξαντλούνται σε μεγάλο βαθμό. Τολμώ να πω, ότι δουλεύουν «μέχρι θανάτου». Το δυστύχημα ήταν αναμενόμενο».

Ο πρώην πιλότος της εταιρείας προτίμησε να κρατήσει την ανωνυμία του σημειώνοντας επίσης πως η πολιτική της εταιρείας δεν αλλάζει παρά τα παράπονα που παραθέτουν ανά καιρούς οι εργαζόμενοι. Τονίζει επίσης, ότι η ανώτατη διοίκηση γνώριζε την κατάσταση, αλλά παρόλα αυτά δεν έκανε τίποτε για να επιλυθεί το όποιο ζήτημα.

«Λίγο πριν αποχωρήσω από την εταιρεία, το τελευταίο πράγμα που δήλωσα στη διοίκηση ήταν ότι προβλέπω πολύ σύντομα ότι θα προκύψει κάποιο ατύχημα, εάν συνεχίσετε αυτές τις πρακτικές, εξαιτίας της κόπωσης των πιλότων».

Σημαντικό είναι να αναφέρουμε ότι ο συγκυβερνήτης του αεροσκάφους είχε δουλέψει 11 ημέρες χωρίς ρεπό πριν τη μοιραία πτήση.

Σύμφωνα με το ρεπορτάζ, ο Κύπριος πιλότος Άριστος Σωκράτους είχε ήδη καταθέσει τα χαρτιά της παραίτησής του, μαζί με τα παράπονα για τις ώρες εργασίας και το πρόγραμμα των πτήσεων, με το δημοσίευμα να επικαλείται για την πληροφορία αυτή συναδέλφους του εκλιπόντος.

Nέο βίντεο που διέρρευσε στο διαδίκτυο και τα ξένα ΜΜΕ δείχνει την ακριβή στιγμή που το Boeing 737 της FlyDubai προσκρούει στον αεροδιάδρομο και τυλίγεται στις φλόγες.

Το βίντεο καταγράφηκε από το κλειστό κύκλωμα τηλεόρασης του αεροδρομίου στο Ροστόφ.

Τις επόμενες ημέρες οι πραγματογνώμονες αναμένεται να αποσαφηνίσουν τα αίτια της πτώσης, αφού εξετάσουν και τα «μαύρα κουτιά» του αεροσκάφους.

Η αεροπορική εταιρία Flydubai δήλωσε σήμερα ότι δεν έχει προχωρήσει σε ακύρωση ή καθυστέρηση πτήσεων, μετά το αεροπορικό δυστύχημα στο Ροστόφ επί του Ντον. Η εταιρία ανακοίνωσε μάλιστα, ότι οι πτήσεις της θα επαναληφθούν αμέσως μόλις το αναφερόμενο αεροδρόμιο, λειτουργήσει κανονικά.

Η Flydubai ανέφερε ότι συνεργάζεται στενά με τις ρωσικές αρχές, προκειμένου να εντοπιστούν τα αίτια που προκάλεσαν το χθεσινό αεροπορικό δυστύχημα, ενώ έκανε έκκληση να σταματήσουν οι εικασίες σχετικά με την αεροπορική τραγωδία.

Παράλληλα, η αεροπορική εταιρεία εκφράζει την πλήρη εμπιστοσύνη της στις ρωσικές αρχές, αλλά και στην ικανότητά τους να διαχειριστούν αποτελεσματικά την ομαλή πραγματοποίηση των πτήσεων στο αεροδρόμιο του Ροστόφ επί του Ντον.
