Skyteam member Air Europa has filed a number of new Boeing 787-8 operations for Northern summer 2017 season, including Montevideo and Lima service. Planned operation as follow.

Boeing confirmed Air Europa for order 20 Boeing 737MAX

Boeing (BOE, Chicago O'Hare) has confirmed Air Europa (UX, Palma Son Sant Joan) has indeed ordered twenty B737 MAX 8 jets in a statement issued at the 2016 Farnborough International Airshow. 

Though the Spanish carrier's president Juan Jose Hidalgo did announce the order back in April, it has continued to be attributed to an unidentified customer on Boeing's order book. The aircraft will be powered by CFM International Leap 1B motors with deliveries scheduled for 2021 and 2024.

The Spanish carrier operates twenty-one B737-800s with a further thirteen still on order from Boeing.

Air Europa Plans New York - Santo Domingo Holidays Service in W16 :: Routesonline

Air Europa during Christmas/New Year season plans to operate service between the US and Dominican Republic, where the airline schedules New York JFK – Santo Domingo operation. Boeing 787-8 aircraft is scheduled to operate on 20DEC16, 22DEC16, 27DEC16, 03JAN17, 05JAN17 and 07JAN17.

Air Europa launches new Bogota route | Breaking Travel News

Air Europa has launched its latest route, set to operate daily from Madrid to Bogota on its latest generation aircraft, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Air Europa chairman Juan Jose Hidalgo cut the ribbon at the inauguration in Barajas airport Madrid and was among passengers on the first flight to Bogota, the city thought to be the economic, cultural, political, financial and touristic hub of Colombia.

The flight schedule also offers passengers from Colombia fast connections to over 20 Spanish and European destinations served by Globalia group’s airline division.

The new destination of Bogota further consolidates Air Europa’s growth in the Americas and its position as the leading airline between Europe and America.

As well as Bogota it also operates non-stop flights from Madrid to Caracas, Lima, Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Salvador de Bahia, Sao Paulo, Montevideo, Asuncion and Buenos Aires in South America; Havana, Cancun, Puerta Cana, San Juan and Santo Domingo in Central America as well as New York and Miami in North America.

From July 14th to September 15th Air Europa will also fly twice weekly to Veradero and in December it will fly to Guayaquil, Ecuador and Cordoba, Argentina via Asuncion, Paraguay.

Skyteam member Air Europa has moved forward planned Boeing 787-8 debut onMadrid – New York JFK route, currently scheduled to begin from 18DEC16, instead of 15MAR17. The 787-8 operates on daily basis with following schedule.

This route does not operate from 10JAN17 to 14MAR17.

Air Europa in recent schedule update had adjusted operational aircraft for Madrid – New York JFK route for summer 2017 season, effective 15MAR17. The daily service in 2017 will be operated by Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, instead of Airbus A330-200.

Note the following schedule is effective from 28MAR17 to 01JUN17.

AirLive.net: Man tries to open emergency exit on Air Europa flight to Ibiza before being overpowered by cabin crew

A man has been arrested after trying to open the door of an Air Europa plane travelling between Majorca and Ibiza mid-flight.

44 year old Romanian was overpowered by crew and passengers who held him until the plane reached his destination and he was handed over to police.

The scare happened on Monday morning.

Unnamed man was arrested and taken to hospital in Ibiza when the plane landed. Local reports say the man had psychological problems

Civil guard officers said they believed he was trying to commit suicide rather than deliberately trying to cause other passengers harm as part of a terrorist act.

Skyteam member Air Europa is moving forward planned Boeing 787-8 operations by 2 weeks, scheduled to begin from 27MAR16. Initially the airline’s own Dreamliner aircraft (not leased type from LOT Polish Airlines) will operate Madrid – Santo Domingo route, until 14JUN16.
