An Avianca Airbus A320-200, registration N745AV performing flight AV-39 from Miami,FL (USA) to Cali (Colombia) with about 120 people on board, was climbing out of Miami when the aircraft encountered turbulence twice causing a cabin window to crack. Passengers reported the aircraft appeared to drop/fall substantially for several seconds about 20 minutes into the flight then stabilized again, about 5 minutes the aircraft again appeared to drop and stabilized again. The captain subsequently announced they had encountered turbulence and they were returning to Miami due to a cracked cabin window.
