Singapore Airlines on Thursday (26MAY16) has made further changes to planned South Africa operation, as it plans to introduce Airbus A350-900XWB operations. The A350 will begin operating on 3 weekly Singapore – Johannesburg flights, effective 27JUN16, replacing 777-200ER.

The 4 weekly Singapore – Johannesburg – Cape Town service continues to see Boeing 777 operation for the time being, switching from -200ER to -300ER from 15JUL16.
Additionally, SIA’s A350 aircraft will once again operates Singapore – Hong Kong and Singapore – Kuala Lumpur route from 28JUN16 on Day x146 operating on SQ890/891 and SQ118/119 service.
