Cobalt CO516 A320 returned to Larnaca, gear problem after departure



A Cobalt Airbus A320-200, registration 5B-DCR performing flight CO-516 from Larnaca (Cyprus) to Manchester,EN (UK), was in the initial climb out of Larnaca's runway 22 when the crew stopped the climb at 5000 feet reporting an abnormal gear indication. The crew worked the related checklists, extended and locked the landing gear and returned to Larnaca for a safe landing on runway 22 about 35 minutes after departure.

The aircraft, that had departed with a delay of 5 hours already, remained on the ground for 6:15 hours, then departed again and reached Manchester with a delay of 11.5 hours.
