American A319 flight AA1938 near Charlotte, cracked windshield

An American Airlines Airbus A319-100, registration N716UW performing flight AA-1938 from Charlotte,NC to Washington National,DC (USA) with 110 people on board, was climbing through FL230 out of Charlotte when the crew stopped the climb due to the first officer's windshield having cracked. The aircraft returned to Charlotte for a safe landing about 35 minutes after departure.

A replacement A319-100 registration N715UW reached Washington with a delay of 3.5 hours.
