KLM Cityhopper F70 at Amsterdam on Jun 8th 2016, hydraulic failure



A KLM Cityhopper Fokker 70, registration PH-KZM performing flight KL-1861 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Dusseldorf (Germany), was climbing through FL210 when the crew stopped the climb and decided to return to Amsterdam. Upon contacting Amsterdam approach the crew declared PAN reporting the failure of the #1 hydraulic system and advised they would not be able to vacate the runway. The aircraft landed safely on Amsterdam's runway 36C about 45 minutes after departure. The aircraft was towed off the runway.

A replacement Embraer ERJ-190 registration PH-EZM reached Dusseldorf with a delay of 2.5 hours.
