British Airways B788 over Black Sea on Jun 12th 2016, weather radar problems



A British Airways Boeing 787-800, registration G-ZBJF performing flight BA-277 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Hyderabad (India), was enroute at FL390 over the Black Sea about 70nm west of Batumi (Georgia) when the crew decided to return to London due to a problem with the weather radar. The aircraft landed safely back in Heathrow about 4:10 hours later.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 16 hours, then departed for the next day's flight BA-277.
