Delta B738 at Las Vegas on Jun 10th 2016, problems with cabin pressure



A Delta Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N398DA performing flight DL-44 from Las Vegas,NV to New York JFK,NY (USA) with 164 people on board, was climbing out of Las Vegas when the crew requested to level off at 10,000 feet but continue the departure while working the checklists. The aircraft was cleared to maintain 10,000 feet, a couple of minutes later ATC advised they needed to climb to 12,000 feet if they continued on their track, the crew replied "unable" and requested to return to Las Vegas. While returning to Las Vegas the crew declared emergency and continued for a safe landing on Las Vegas' runway 25R about 50 minutes after departure.

The airport reported the crew suspected a cracked windshield. 

The aircraft was inspected, departed Las Vegas again after about 2 hours on the ground and reached New York with a delay of 3 hours.
